Wanted: Chocolate
Could anyone imagine life without chocolate? No chocolate bunnies for Easter, no chocolate chip cookies for Santa Claus, no way of satisfying a craving when its coming on. Life would be plain, simple, lame. Chocolates add the sugar that we need in our daily lives to function, be happy, and live life to its fullest. Without, we'd be as boring as celery sticks with no peanut butter.

Both scientists and history have proven to us that chocolates stimulate a certain chemical inside of us that makes us happy and joyful. Without chocolate, sugarless people would walk the streets with sour looks on their faces with no hope for a better tomorrow. There's no denying that chocolate-whether we love it or hate it- is a beneficial part to our daily staple (but only in small portions).

Here are some fast facts about chocolates and all the positive attributes it has for us:

Chocolates contains essential trace elements and nutrients such as iron, calcium, and potassium, and vitamins A, B1, C, D, and E.
Cocoa is also the highest natural source for Magnesium.
The fat in high quality plain chocolates (although technically a saturated fat) can be considered free as it does not clog up the arteries or contribute to high cholesterol levels.
The high magnesium content that is in chocolate is beneficial for the cardiovascular system.
Chocolate and cocoa butter contain large quantities of natural antioxidants called flavonoids. Antioxidants are believed to reduce the number of free radicals in the body that contribute to medical problems, such as heart disease and cancer.
Researchers at Harvard University have carried out experiments that suggest that if you eat chocolate three times a month you will live almost a ear longer than those who avoid such sweet temptation.

Chocolates
The benefits of good quality gourmet chocolates are numerous, but one must take caution to not overdo the amount or intake of chocolate as it can cause obesity. But, with that in mind, it's important to remember to take all things in moderation.

And don't forget to spread the word! Godiva chocolates make great gifts for just about anyone as do assorted gift chocolates. Go out and grab a box today!
